WIN WITHOUT COMING FIRST
Bündnis 90/Die Grünen Hamburg

Idea

All eyes on Katharina Fegebank! With a clarity that is rather unusual for Green election campaigns, we are placing the person of the charismatic lead candidate at the center of the campaign. The central claim to Hamburg's highest government office after years and decades of predominantly social democratic "business as usual" is thus clearly formulated: "First woman, first Green, first choice".

Implementation

Together with the Berlin creative agency Wolf/OsmankovićWolf/Osmanković we are responsible for the strategy, conception and implementation of the campaign. The most visible elements are the posters, which show the people of Hamburg an approachable, determined and competent First Mayor. The central campaign claim "The time is now" emphasizes the opportunity and necessity for a new direction for Hamburg's future. In addition, a TV and cinema spot, events and other diverse materials for a successful election campaign will be produced as part of the campaign.

Film concept: Wolf/Osmanković; Production: Bubbles

Result

"Winning without becoming first"Spiegel: "Winning without becoming first" headlines Der Spiegel after the election. Although almost 25% is not quite enough to secure government office in the end, it more than doubles the share of the vote compared to the 2015 election. According to the election analysis, the Greens gain votes from all parties. Most of all from the SPD, with whom a continuation of the coalition was ultimately agreed - with one more Green senator than before.
