Every child in Germany should leave school with a degree. To achieve this goal, Teach First Germany is looking for above-average qualified university graduates and professionals, the "Fellows". They support teachers for up to two years at partner schools in socially deprived areas. How do you get people excited about this task at a time when the pandemic is making schools less attractive as a working environment and the need for job security is increasing?

Idea

"What's next? Which career path is right for me? What can I do to take the next step?" The people we address are torn between needs and desires for meaning, security and flexibility and are preoccupied with questions about their future. Teach First Germany has the right offer to show a clear path. Theory only helps to a limited extent - doing helps!

Implementation

With flexible headlines, we break through the usual thought patterns in a sometimes humorous way to attract attention. We rely on bright colors and illustrations that underline the messages in a playful and light way. Highlights of the campaign include a PR campaign in which we recruit potential Fellows with mobile billboards in front of companies, a film series that presents the challenges of everyday life as a Fellow in an honest way, and social media ads.

Result

With an honest yet humorous campaign, we not only manage to reach the target groups, but also strengthen the image of Teach First Germany. The initial figures show that we are on the right track - we are eagerly awaiting the end of the application phase in summer 2022.
