After 70 years, the GEW NRW members' magazine "nds" is getting on in years. The magazine no longer meets the needs of the almost 50,000 members from various professions in the education sector. The relaunch should therefore not only be a new look, but also include a revision of the content and better integration of the print and online channels. A new magazine is needed!

Reaching the goal together

It was clear that the new concept could only be created in close cooperation with the editorial team and their expertise. To this end, we held a series of workshops. It was important that the relevant decision-makers from the trade union, the graphic designer and, last but not least, the representatives of the group for whom the magazine is ultimately made were involved: The readers.

Relaunch from A to Z

Over a period of a good year, we supported the relaunch process in almost all aspects: From preparation with the involvement of internal stakeholders, to magazine orientation, magazine dramaturgy, format development, editorial processes, cross-media ideas and design recommendations, right through to finding a name.

Thematic, dramatic, loud

The new magazine lautstark was finally published in September 2019. Your member magazineloud and clear. magazine - each with an overarching theme as a common thread, greater variety in content, a more magazine-like dramaturgy and a stronger link to online channels. The completely new design was provided by the GEW NRW design agency, Büreau from Dortmund.
