Initial situation

Many older websites are not so much geared towards users as they are a reflection of existing organizational structures. Accessibility, usability and responsive design were hardly an issue a few years ago - now they are considered quality features and standards. These should be taken into account for the new corporate design.

Until now, the foundation's wide-ranging commitment and many activities were hidden behind a lot of clicks and were difficult for users to grasp. Long texts and a design that was not very reader-friendly were not exactly inviting. As a result, the website lay dormant in the background, while the foundation's current content was mainly shared on social media or in blogs.

With a new focus

With the new website, we have focused on the foundation's specific activities. We have created a kind of "social wall" on the homepage, which brings together content from blogs, project work and social media and can be easily kept up to date. We have turned a complicated menu structure into an easy-to-understand website with just three subpages where all important information is easy to find. Projects and publications can be filtered by category. We turned a text-heavy site into a lively web presence and brought the existing good content and images onto the stage.

Fresh colors, fresh design

With the corporate design, we wanted to offer the foundation, its organization and the team a large area to present themselves online. To this end, we created a style guide that clearly explains the graphic implementation of the logo, presentations and letter templates and is easy to implement for all those responsible.

When it came to the color design of the website, we went with the flow of the times and opted for the 2019 trend color, Living Coral. We also used strong secondary colors to do justice to the great and innovative people behind 100 percent with a modern design.
